Flight engineers' salaries on Il-96, Tu-214 and "Ruslan" aircraft exceeded 300,000 rubles

Due to the shortage of specialists, airlines, judging by the published vacancies, are ready to pay from 110 thousand rubles; however, the actual figures may exceed 300 thousand rubles per month.

President of the Flight Crew of the Russian Federation Miroslav Boychuk said that flight mechanics and flight engineers will be in demand not only in cargo airlines, but also among carriers receiving new airliners. At the same time, their final income will strongly depend on the airline's workload and the number of flight hours logged.

If, for example, they were flying 80 hours a month on the Il-96, that would be one salary. If he flies 20–30 hours, then the salary, of course, will be much lower.

In the public domain, "Pervyi tekhnicheskii" found a vacancy for a flight engineer for the An-24 and An-26. The airline "Khabarovsk Airlines" is ready to pay such a specialist from 150 thousand rubles net, but at least three years of work experience are required.

It should be noted that the position of flight engineer has been retained, for example, on the Tu-214, airliners of the Il-96 series, the Il-76, and the An-124 "Ruslan." In new aircraft, for example the MS-21 or the "Superjet," such a crew member is absent in principle — automation does everything.
