The "ODK-Saturn" enterprise has implemented innovations aimed at developing the production system. Based on the initiatives of employees, the plant implemented projects to improve technological processes, autonomous equipment maintenance and reduce its changeover time, the United Engine Corporation (ODK) press service noted.
To improve operational efficiency, employees of the foundry proposed a number of changes to the process of casting blanks. Based on the analysis of blanks in the central factory laboratory, specialists improved the gating system and developed a new assembly scheme for the model block.
Changes to the process of casting blanks have already been introduced into mass production, the economic effect has exceeded several million rubles. In order to quickly produce a variety of products and guarantee its high quality, hundreds of complex operations must be performed in a single rhythm and every minute must be used effectively.
Also, employees of the preparation shop made a proposal to optimize the process of reconfiguring press equipment. The improvements affected the sequence of operations, the organization of workplaces and the motivation system for adjusters.
The implementation of the project allowed employees to quickly switch between different tasks and reconfigure machines, which saved up to 40% of the time spent.
It should be reminded that "ODK-Saturn" participates in the creation of advanced and strategically important aircraft engines for the country, including PD-8, PD-14 and the TV7-117 series.
