The "Kochevnik" laser air defense system has officially entered service for destroying drones

The installation engages UAVs at a range of 2 km

Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov published unique footage of the combat use of the "Kochevnik" air defense laser system by the detachment of the same name. The footage shows the system accurately destroying airplane-type drones.

Recall that the company LaserBazz is also working on the creation of an innovative air defense laser system within the framework of the "Posokh" project .

During testing, the laser burned through a mock-up battery of a standard FPV drone in one second at a distance of 500 m, demonstrating high reaction speed and accuracy.

Such systems make it possible to significantly strengthen protection against small and fast unmanned aircraft. First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov noted that their use will become more active in the near future, as production volumes increase.
