There are 24 SJ-100 aircraft in serial assembly at the plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. This was reported by PJSC "Yakovlev" (part of the United Aircraft Corporation of the Rostec State Corporation).
As soon as all systems have been tested, including the PD-8 engines, the aircraft will be sent to fly throughout Russia.
Further plans for it - we expect the end of certification and will prepare for transfer to airlines.
Rostec noted that the partial replacement of full-scale tests of aircraft engines with virtual models can speed up the creation of power plants. This approach is already being used in the creation of the PD-8 for the SJ-100.
However, the head of the design department of PJSC "Yakovlev", Ezhen Guryev, explained that there are no full-fledged digital twins of engines or aircraft yet, we are talking, rather, about a digital prototype.
