The future of the aviation industry is forged in Perm: composites for aircraft will be 1.5 times lighter than analogues

Perm Polytechnic University received 100 million rubles for scientific research

Perm National Research Polytechnic University (Polytech) has started working on creating new innovative materials for aviation. For this purpose, the university has launched a separate program "Professionalitet".

The university was allocated 100 million rubles from the regional budget for equipping laboratories with research equipment, conducting scientific research, and training personnel.

Currently, Polytech is working on creating new composite materials and sound-absorbing panels for aircraft. With greater efficiency, their weight is 1.5 times less than analogues.

There are already concrete results. For example, one of the most significant results of 2025 is the development of hybrid additive technologies for growing large-sized parts, such as titanium blades for aircraft engines.

Prototypes were successfully tested on a vibration stand together with JSC "ODK-Aviadvigatel".

Earlier www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of the key processor for military aviation was fined 50 million rubles.
