The construction of the second stage of the S7 Technics plant in Moscow, specializing in the repair of aircraft engines and components for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft, has been completed. This was announced by Andrey Sokolov, Deputy General Director of the company. The new production facilities will significantly increase the volume of repairs and reduce the maintenance time of the aircraft fleet.
S7 Technics already performs disassembly and inspection of CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B turbofan engines, as well as maintenance of Honeywell auxiliary power units. The company has mastered the processes of disassembly, defect detection and determination of the suitability of parts for repair.
Dmitry Kudelkin, General Director of S7 Group, recalled that the first stage of the enterprise in the Sheremetyevo airport area was put into operation in 2022. With the launch of the second building, the plant will be able to repair 16 new types of aircraft parts, including gas thermal coating, vacuum heat treatment and shot peening.
The new building with an area of almost 60 thousand square meters expands the company's capabilities for overhauling power plants - from 40 to 65 units annually. This will reduce the average turnaround time by one and a half times, minimize the risk of downtime of the S7 aircraft fleet against the background of logistical restrictions, and ensure the rapid restoration of critical components.
Since 2022, S7 Technics has performed more than 380 overhauls and current repairs of engines of Airbus and Boeing airliners.
