The Arbitration Court of Moscow has recovered almost 529 million rubles from the United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of the Rostec Group) based on a claim by Gavrilov-Yam Machine-Building Plant "Agat" JSC. The court deemed the penalty for UEC's debt under the supply contract dated January 18, 2024, as well as the payment of penalties, to be lawful.
The specific goods that "Agat" supplied to the corporation are not specified in the court materials.
UEC representatives in court did not deny the existence of the debt but requested a reduction in the penalty due to its disproportionality; however, the court rejected this motion.
It is known from open sources that Gavrilov-Yam Machine-Building Plant "Agat" produces components for aircraft engines and consumer goods.
It is worth recalling that UEC enterprises are currently producing PD-8 and PD-14 aircraft engines for promising domestically produced MC-21 and SJ-100 airliners. The prospective PD-35 is also in the design phase.
