Самолёт МС-21-310 с двигателями ПД-14 разогнали до максимальной скорости

The crew reached the maximum indicated airspeed during testing

The import-substituted MC-21-310 aircraft with tail number 73057, during testing, performed flights along echelons, accelerating to maximum speeds. This was reported by a source at the Gromov Flight Research Institute.

The crew decelerated the aircraft to minimum speed and critical angles of attack, and also accelerated it to the maximum indicated airspeed and Mach number.

The aircraft's factory refinement tests (ZDI) are aimed at assessing the stability, controllability, and functioning of the aircraft's systems in long-haul flight modes.

Currently, preparations for the aircraft are being completed in Irkutsk at the Flight Test and Refinement Complex of PJSC Yakovlev. The first flight of the aircraft took place on October 28. As a reminder, the aircraft is already equipped with PD-14 engines and wings made of Russian polymer composite materials.

Sergey Chernyshev, Scientific Director of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after N. E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI), explained that the MC-21 and SJ-100 aircraft will be able to accelerate to 850 km/h.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the toilet of a strategic bomber was shown in a photo for the first time.
