Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held a meeting on the development of the electronic and radio-electronic industry in Russia. The head of the Cabinet recalled that this industry is strategic and is important for strengthening the industrial and technological sovereignty of the country.
Mishustin acknowledged that demand is a complex industry challenge today. More than half a trillion rubles have been allocated to the development of the industry over a 5-year period. In addition, in accordance with the federal budget, another 250 billion rubles will be allocated to the industry.
First of all, our main instruments are subsidies for the development and organization of the production of new types of products. I must also mention the programs of the Industrial Development Fund and the cluster investment platform.
The Prime Minister recalled that the country's leadership had set a goal to increase the share of electronic products from domestic enterprises in the domestic market to 70% over the next 5 years, the Prime Minister noted. According to the results of last year, it already amounted to about 53%, Mishustin added.
Earlier it became known that the Taiwanese TSMC "threw" the Russian processor developer Baikal in 2022.
