The Russian airline "Siberia" (operating under the S7 brand since 2005) has been brought to administrative responsibility for refusing to transport 10 passengers. This was reported by the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.
The Novosibirsk Transport Prosecutor's Office, following appeals from citizens, has verified the implementation of legislation on the protection of consumer rights in air services.
Employees of the supervisory authority found that in August 2025, 10 passengers were denied boarding on an S7 aircraft flying from Sochi to Novosibirsk. It turned out that the number of registered travelers exceeded the number of available seats on board the aircraft. As a result, the airline "Siberia" was fined 30,000 rubles.
The prosecutor's office noted that this is not the first case of overbooking on the carrier's aircraft. A similar situation occurred in May 2025 at Novosibirsk airport. Then, 9 passengers missed the flight to Khabarovsk.
