Modern aircraft are increasingly taking over some of the decisions in flight, and the domestic MC-21 follows the trend and is no exception. Test pilot of PJSC "Yakovlev" Oleg Mutovin said that the liner has a built-in system that analyzes the flight in real time.
According to him, the algorithms help pilots cope with the load and emergency situations — sometimes even without their participation.
The plane not only can, but must help the pilot. Expert support systems often turn on automatically, even without the pilot's participation.
Mutovin explained that in fact, the MC-21 can conduct a dialogue with the crew through the interface, corrects the course itself and suggests optimal actions. This makes flights safer and relieves stress from pilots — in a critical moment, the plane will be "on the safe side."
Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov said a few days ago that the fully import-substituted medium-range aircraft MC-21-310 will begin flight tests "in the near future".
Earlier www1.ru reported that new Russian tires for the chassis of MC-21 and SJ-100 liners have successfully passed certification.
