The Russian Aerospace Forces have added a new series of Su-34M fighter-bombers to their arsenal. According to Military Watch Magazine, the Russian army continues to actively purchase these aircraft, significantly exceeding the procurement volumes of other types of tactical combat vehicles.
As deliveries continue at a significantly increased pace, the fleet of these machines is expected to consist of 400 aircraft by the early 2030s.
Despite its classification as a bomber and significant characteristics such as long range and high payload, which are uncharacteristic of fighters, the Su-34 is more like a fighter in terms of air combat capabilities and flight characteristics, notes Military Watch Magazine.
Earlier, www1 reported that Su-30SM fighters used bombs with UMPC for the first time.
