The diamond mining company ALROSA continues to operate in Africa and sees prospects for the discovery of new diamond deposits in Zimbabwe. This was announced by the company's CEO Pavel Marinichev at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
Marinichev noted that Alrosa's expertise is also in demand in the Central African Republic, Mozambique, South Africa and Namibia. The company remains open to cooperation, exchange of experience and implementation of joint investment projects in these and other countries.
The CEO said that ALROSA is satisfied with the results of the sale of its stake in the Angolan project "Catoca". The share was transferred to Taadeen, a structure of the Oman National Welfare Fund, and the remuneration amounted to 15.9 billion rubles.
