Rosaviatsiya acknowledged a problem in the tail rotor of "Ansat"

The inspection of rotorcraft was carried out by specialists from the agency and the Kazan Helicopter Plant

The Kazan Helicopter Plant, together with representatives from Rosaviatsiya, initiated an inspection of the tail rotors of Ansat helicopters. During the inspection, two tail rotors of the helicopters were sent for repair, and at least one more needs additional inspection.

The agency noted that the measures do not mean an actual halt to flights of this type of helicopter.

Rosaviatsiya emphasized that conducting visual inspections of the helicopter's tail rotors is a standard practice for preventing aviation accidents, aimed at improving flight safety.

Operators have currently inspected more than 70% of the machines. Many operators, including the largest operator of Ansat helicopters, the national sanitary aviation service, did not find traces of corrosion on the tail rotors based on the inspection results.
