Mass production of engines for drones has been established in Russia. This was announced by the General Director of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov.
In response to a relevant question, he said the following:
We are already doing it. And mass production is underway, of course, it is underway.
Meanwhile, specialists from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) have already begun developing apowerful hybrid power plant for unmanned aerial vehicles.
The goal of the MAI project is to create a power plant for promising air taxis and drones with a carrying capacity of over 500 kg. All work is being carried out within the framework of a state grant.
Tests of the technology demonstrator and completion of development work are scheduled for 2026.
