A technology for accessing Internet resources based on the "whitelist" principle has been launched in Russia. It allows you to use a number of sites even during mobile Internet restrictions imposed for security reasons.
The Ministry of Digital Development stated that the solution was developed jointly with telecom operators and is already operating in pilot mode. The agency emphasized that user identification or passing a captcha to access is not required.
Initially, the list was not fully disclosed, but operators partially made it public. The list included "Gosuslugi", "VKontakte", "Odnoklassniki", Mail.ru, Yandex services, Ozon and Wildberries marketplaces, Avito, Rutube, Zen, as well as websites of state bodies and remote voting platforms. Later, the Ministry of Digital Development clarified that the national messenger Max was also included in the "whitelist".
At the same time, Telegram and WhatsApp were not included in the list, as well as most banking applications — only Gazprombank is represented from credit organizations.
Telecom operators note that the lists are the same for everyone, as they are formed by the Ministry of Digital Development, and may be supplemented with new services in the future.
