The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is recording high demand for Tu-214 aircraft from airlines, and the aircraft definitely has a future. This was stated by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov.
According to him, an increasing number of airlines are showing interest in the airliner produced by the Kazan Aviation Plant, including Yuvt Aero, Azur air, Red Wings, S7 and Yakutia.
The current level of demand allows us to conclude that the Tu-214 aircraft undoubtedly has a future.
The head of the Rostec State Corporation, Sergey Chemezov, previously stated that the production volume of Tu-214 is planned to be increased to 20 units by 2028-2029. According to him, 11 firm contracts have already been concluded for the construction of the aircraft at 5.6 billion rubles per aircraft.
