The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) has found a way to reduce the weight of new aircraft engine parts and reduce production waste, the company's press service reported.
Specialists in reverse engineering create 3D projects of parts manufactured in the traditional way in order to produce parts using additive technologies.
The UEC Additive Technology Center has the largest fleet of industrial equipment for 3D design and printing in Russia.
Additive technologies make it possible to create complex shaped parts that cannot be obtained by traditional methods.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a video of the testing of the new PD-35 aircraft engine has appeared, but there is no aircraft for it yet.
