Rostec has signed firm contracts for 74 aircraft of its own production. This was announced by the head of the state corporation, Sergey Chemezov.
According to him, among the aircraft are three Il-114-300s, 11 Tu-214s, 42 SJ-100 "Superjet" aircraft, and 18 MC-21s.
Aircraft production has a long cycle, so airlines need to contract and advance the next batches. This will allow planning the workload and ensuring rhythmic deliveries.
Chemezov added that the state corporation will begin production of the MC-21, SJ-100, and Il-114 in 2026.
At the same time, the executive director of the Aviaport agency, aviation expert Oleg Panteleev, warned that educational institutions in the Russian Federation do not have simulators for key models of the MC-21 and Superjet-100. The situation threatens to create a shortage in the number of pilots.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec is ready to start supplying MC-21, SJ-100, and Il-114-300 abroad.
