Rostec Names Required Number of Test Flights for New MC-21-310

The aircraft must perform approximately 220-230 test flights

During the certification tests of the MC-21-310 aircraft, aircraft manufacturers will conduct at least 220-230 test flights, Rostec reported.

The state corporation noted that this number of flights is necessary to be 100% confident in the safety of passengers.

This is an important stage of the import substitution program. To obtain a type certificate for a fully domestic MC-21, it is planned to perform approximately 220-230 test flights.

The head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, stated that he is ready to personally fly on the first flight of the fully domestic MC-21-310 aircraft.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the production of systems for Il-114-300 and MC-21-310 has been expanded in Nizhny Novgorod.
