MC-21-310 tests on schedule: third aircraft No. 73057 to take to the skies

The liners are being tested at the flight test and development complex of PJSC Yakovlev in Zhukovsky

The third aircraft, number 73057, will soon join the tests of the import-substituted MC-21-310. The tests are being carried out at the flight test and development complex of the A.S. Yakovlev Design Bureau (LIiDK) in Zhukovsky.

The second MC-21-310 medium-range airliner, number 73055, with Russian aviation systems, had already completed 19 flights as part of the flight certification tests by August 20. The total duration of flights of this aircraft alone reached 74 hours.

Connecting the second flight model of the MC-21-310 to the program made it possible to optimize the test schedule by distributing the required amount of flight tasks and flight hours between the two aircraft.

This is an important requirement for a comprehensive confirmation of the operational reliability and safety of the aircraft. In total, more than 70 imported components on the aircraft were replaced with Russian counterparts - foreign systems are retained only in the wing mechanization drives, the brake system and generators. There will be nothing foreign on the third aircraft (No. 73057).

Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec is ready to start supplying MC-21, SJ-100 and Il-114-300 abroad.
