Thanks to the production program of new import-substituted aircraft MC-21, SJ-100, Il-114-300, and Tu-214, Russia will be able to replace more than 50% of the country's foreign aircraft fleet and prevent domestic aviation from sliding to the level of third world countries, said Honored Pilot of the Russian Federation Vladimir Popov.
According to him, civil aircraft production in Russia is gradually recovering. This process takes time, but the movement has already begun.
And if we do not implement our plans in the field of civil aviation, we risk sliding to the level of third world countries.
At the same time, aviation expert Oleg Panteleev noted that replacing even 50% with domestic import-substituted machines by 2030 still looks like an unrealistic task.
Our market is not the largest in the world, but it can well accept 500–600 mainline aircraft to replace foreign cars and another 150–250 cars to expand the fleet.
