The modernized Tu-214 aircraft manufactured by the Kazan Aviation Plant took part in the festival "I choose the sky!" in the capital of Tatarstan, according to the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec).
The plane flew in the sky over the city along with the other participants of the event. After a short pause, the Tu-160 "White Swan" strategic missile-carrying bomber appeared over the Kazanka River.
The Il-78 also surprised the audience; it is capable of refueling Tu-160, Tu-22M3 and Tu-95, as well as almost all types of fighters and attack aircraft.
Immediately, the Tu-22M3, a long-range supersonic missile-carrying bomber designed to destroy sea and ground targets with guided missiles and aerial bombs, rapidly cut through the sky.
At the same time, KAZ continues to face serious difficulties in the production of the Tu-214. Only the first new aircraft has reached the final assembly stage, although initially it was planned to deliver three aircraft back in 2023.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the modernized Tu-214 aircraft flew to tests over Kazan.
