Sergey Chemezov, General Director of the Rostec State Corporation, paid a working visit to the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (part of the Yakovlev PJSC branch).
The head of Rostec personally visited the assembly line of MC-21 airliners, the hangar for ground testing of finished aircraft, and the final assembly shop for aviation equipment.
Delegation members familiarized themselves with the plant's technical re-equipment projects, inspected the building under construction for major repairs of aviation equipment, treatment facilities on the premises, and the progress of reconstruction of the electroplating production building.
During the visit, Sergey Chemezov discussed issues of financing serial production under the MC-21 program, as well as ensuring full workload of the plant.
The Ministry of Transport stated that the flight performance characteristics of the MC-21 currently do not meet the planned values. Certification will continue until 2026.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that innovative sensors for the Superjet SSJ-100 and MC-21 have begun to be produced in Crimea.
