LMS-901 "Baikal" Will Live On: Delivery Date Announced for First Five Aircraft with VK-800 Engine

The first five light aircraft "Baikal" will be delivered to the airline "Aurora" at the end of 2026. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov.

According to him, work is currently underway to certify the new VK-800 engine and the new propeller. The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) will complete it by the end of the year.

At the end of next year, we should deliver the first five aircraft to the airline "Aurora".

About the LMS-901 "Baikal" aircraft:

The nine-seat light aircraft LMS-901 "Baikal" will replace the Soviet multi-purpose aircraft An-2. The cruising speed of the aircraft is up to 300 km/h, the maximum flight range is 3 thousand km (with a payload of 2 tons - up to 1.5 thousand km).
