New tests of the domestic import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft took place at the Zhukovsky airport near Moscow.
The Superjet certification program until the end of 2025 provides for about 200 test flights of three aircraft in various configurations.
The tests were successful, and the crew praised the aircraft's handling. The SJ-100 reached an indicated airspeed of 619 km per hour and a Mach number of 0.87. This is 0.05 Mach above the maximum permissible parameters.
Two SJ-100 aircraft are being tested in Zhukovsky. One has SaM146 engines and Russian equipment. The second is an import-substituted aircraft with PD-8 engines.
Earlier www1.ru reported that import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft have completed half of the certification program.
