The Russian robotic complex "Stalker" was developed for the Russian military. The complex is designed for clearing territory of mines.
The operator can control the machine at a distance of up to 1-3 km, receiving images from four cameras located on the "Stalker". The machine was developed by "DST-Ural" in Chelyabinsk, the system underwent testing a year ago, and now it is probably being serially supplied to engineering units.
"Stalker" weighs 27 tons and has an engine with a capacity of 540 hp. It is designed to clear the area of explosive objects and anti-personnel mines.
If an anti-tank mine is triggered, the robot's protective casing, which can be replaced, will be damaged - this is a consumable.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the military installed a new 107-mm MLRS on the chassis from UAZ-3303 "Bukhanka".
