Irkutsk Aviation Plant Begins Large-Scale Re-Equipment of Mechanical Assembly Production

Irkutsk Aviation Plant continues to re-equip its mechanical assembly production as part of increasing the production rate of serial MC-21 aircraft. This was reported by PJSC Yakovlev.

Preparatory work for the new machine tool equipment is being carried out simultaneously in different areas. In workshop 232, sites are being prepared for nine machining centers intended for the manufacture of titanium parts.

And in workshop 221, special equipment is being used to prepare the foundation for two multifunctional milling centers for processing aluminum alloys. Construction work is also expected to begin in workshop 269, which will be equipped with new machine tools of Belarusian production.
