"Aeroflot" plans to receivemore than 100 new domestic MC-21 aircraft by 2030, according to the CEO of the airline, Sergei Alexandrovsky. However, these dreams are unlikely to align with the real state of affairs, according to aviation expert Viktor Gorbachev, General Director of the Airport Civil Aviation Association.
According to him, neither the aircraft itself, nor the equipment, nor the engines have passed certification at the moment. It is unknown how long all these tests will take.
The transition to domestic aircraft is the right thing to do, but for now they simply don't physically exist. The MC-21 may start production in 2026, but a maximum of five units per year. Even if we produce 10 aircraft, it will take 20 years to replace the foreign aircraft fleet. We are not particularly happy yet, we are flying on what we have.
Earlierwww1.ru reported thatdetailed shots of the newest turboprop aircraft TVRS-44 "Ladoga" have appeared.
