«Особо не радуемся»: мечты «Аэрофлота» о сотне МС-21 к 2030 году разобьются о реальность

Not a single aircraft has been mass-produced yet

Aeroflot plans to receive more than 100 new domestic MC-21 aircraft by 2030, according to the airline's CEO, Sergei Alexandrovsky. However, these dreams are unlikely to align with the real situation, according to aviation expert Viktor Gorbachev, General Director of the Airport Civil Aviation Association.

According to him, neither the aircraft itself, nor the equipment, nor the engines have passed certification at the moment. It is unknown how long all these tests will take.

The transition to domestic aircraft is correct, but for now they simply do not physically exist. The MC-21 may start production in 2026, but a maximum of five units per year. Even if 10 aircraft are produced per year, it will take 20 years to replace the foreign aircraft fleet. We are not particularly happy yet, we are flying on what we have.
