A prototype of the non-motorized bogie frame for the high-speed train was manufactured at the Ural Locomotives plant (part of the Sinara — Transport Machines holding (STM). This was reported by the company's press service.
Fatigue and resource tests were carried out at the base of the All-Russian Scientific Research and Design-Technological Institute of Railway Engineering. The frame passed 10 million load cycles for strength on special stands with operational loading, characteristic of high-speed traffic.
The frame is made of a special grade of steel using high-precision robotic welding. It is designed for the operation of rolling stock at speeds up to 400 km/h.
The next stage is testing the frame of the motorized bogie of the high-speed train, the production of which will be completed at Ural Locomotives this summer.
Earlier www1.ru reported that tests have started on the CS-400 contact network for high-speed trains.
