The missiles of the Iskander-M operational-tactical complex are invulnerable due to their maneuverability. At the moment, there are no means to combat them in the world, military expert Yuri Knutov said.
He noted that Iskander missiles fly along a quasi-ballistic trajectory, that is, they maneuver in flight, which few other missiles do.
They were improved and refined, that is, the maneuverable characteristics improved.
Knutov called the high accuracy of destruction the main advantage of Iskanders.
Therefore, today there are practically no means to combat these missiles in the world.
Unlike cruise missiles, ballistic missiles always have a predictable trajectory. However, in the case of the modernized Iskander, this rule does not work, since any air defense system calculates the interception point based on the assumption that the target's trajectory will remain unchanged.
