«Суперджет» SJ-100 испытал новый режим авиадвигателей ПД-8 на минимальной скорости

Самолет достиг максимальных углов атаки в полете

The first Russian Superjet 100 aircraft, which took to the skies on domestic PD-8 engines, tested a new power plant mode during its latest flight. This was reported by the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec).

In flight, the Superjet reached maximum angles of attack - the angle between the wing chord and the oncoming airflow vector - 25 degrees and a minimum speed of 183.348 km/h or 99 knots.

Our Superjet 95157, equipped with PD-8 engines, performed another test flight to expand the operating limits of the power plant. In flight, the aircraft reached a maximum angle of attack of 25 degrees and a minimum speed of 99 knots. These are new modes for the PD-8 engine.

Previously, the PD-8 aircraft engine was tested on the Il-76 flying laboratory at a minimum speed of 227.8 km/h, or 150 knots, or at angles of attack of 16 degrees. A knot is considered the basic unit of measurement of speed in air transport.

Earlierwww1.ru reported that Rostec showed a detailed video of the Superjet flight with PD-8 at extreme speed/
