In Russia, the development of more than 140 industrial software projects is in full swing. The work is being carried out within the framework of industrial competence centers (ICC), where Russian developers are creating alternatives to foreign solutions that have left the market.
Vice Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko said that each project includes a full cycle — from creation to implementation of a specific software product. The developed software is planned to be used not only domestically, but also exported through a licensing system.
Each project is an independent task, which implies the creation, development and implementation of a Russian domestic software product, which will be required to be used by Russian consumers, Russian companies for production activities.
To date, the state has already invested about 20 billion rubles in such developments. The main focus is now on creating the so-called "heavy" software. This is a special type of software that helps manage all important processes at industrial enterprises.
The new software will be used in a variety of areas — from design to geological exploration, from petrochemistry to mining. It will be used to create complex equipment — from cars to ships and airplanes.
