The automatic control system (ACS) for aircraft engines PD-8 was developed and manufactured by the Perm enterprise "UEC-STAR". This was reported by the press service of the United Engine Corporation (UEC).
The ACS not only controls the start-up and operating modes of the engine, but also monitors its key parameters. For this, special restrictions are set – there are more than 500 of them. Among them are air pressure behind the compressor and the maximum permissible engine rotor speeds, as well as the maximum gas temperature behind the turbine.
Design engineer of the leading design department of "UEC-STAR" Ivan Nemchaninov accompanies the ACS-8 units during the tests of the PD-8 engine as part of the aircraft and is responsible for entering adjustments and restrictions.
Our company has completed a colossal amount of work in the shortest possible time to create an engine control system for the PD-8. I install software developed at our enterprise into the electronic regulator and engine protection unit. I also configure and adjust the ACS. By adjusting the parameter values, we check the operation of all engine control algorithms.
On Wednesday, April 23, a new prototype of the Superjet aircraft, on which domestic PD-8 engines are installed, made its first flight. The UEC stated that the power plant was fully confirmed gas-dynamic stability.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the import-substituted Superjet SJ-100 with PD-8 will perform more than 130 certification flights.
