For testing radar systems: a mobile laboratory based on "GAZ A31R32" was created at MIPT

The complex includes a GrANT-M drone for real-time imaging

The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) has developed a mobile station based on the GAZ A31R32 van for testing radars in the field, not tied to stationary test sites. This was reported in the press service of the university.

The station is a set of equipment that allows a large cycle of operations. It consists of a high-performance server slot for working with maps and data processing. With it, you can analyze information from the radar and improve target recognition algorithms. A set of radio links provides communication with onboard computers and control objects: drones, autonomous ships and ground equipment.

The complex also includes a GrANT-M fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle. It transmits images of the area at a distance of up to 70 km in real time.

This complex allows testing equipment directly in the field. This greatly simplifies the testing process.

From the outside, it looks like a regular van, providing high load capacity and cross-country ability in difficult conditions. This makes it possible to test systems at their place of work and quickly adapt them to various operating conditions (weather, interference and terrain). As a result, this will help reduce the time to develop and commission new equipment.
