The Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, Andrey Kutepov, stated at a meeting on April 1 that the Russian aircraft industry needs clear goals and plans. Senators expressed their willingness to wait, but on the condition that these are exclusively domestic developments.
Kutepov addressed the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Gennady Abramenkov, and noted that Russia needs, among other things, domestic aircraft engines PD-8, PD-14, and PD-35.
We will wait for the hot section. We will wait for these blades. We will wait. I understand that you have only just taken office, replaced the Deputy Minister. Before that, designers change. But still, goals and assumptions. We must understand that one of our aircraft for small aviation, for long-range, will take to the air. We are ready to wait. But we are only ready to wait, probably, on one condition, that we have a unified position, that these will be our aircraft in our country.
Earlier www1.ru reported that 200 aircraft will be built in Russia by 2030: there are guaranteed buyers with money.
