A new section of deep-water outfitting embankment will be formed during the reconstruction of the "Admiralty Shipyards" plant in St. Petersburg. The project has received a positive conclusion from the Main Department of State Expertise of Russia and will be implemented in three stages.
The works will take place at the confluence of the Fontanka River with the Bolshaya Neva in the Kolomna municipal district in the Admiralteysky district of St. Petersburg. The reconstruction of the shipyard will cover an area of 21823 m². Of these, 4445.63 m² is the modernization section of the deep-water outfitting embankment, where the floating assembly of large blocks and structures of ships under construction takes place.
The implementation of this facility will ensure the completion of ships afloat, as well as mooring tests, reloading and installation or dismantling of engineering and technological equipment on ships under construction.
The design solutions of the first stage include the construction of new sections of the outfitting embankment. Their total length will reach 275 meters, and the maximum bottom mark will be 12 m, which will allow the assembly of modern large-capacity vessels at the exit to the Bolshaya Neva water area. An artificial land plot will also be built here in the area of sections 19-20. The area of the reclaimed territory will be 700 m².
Earlier www1.ru reported that "Admiralty Shipyards" is building the scientific expedition vessel "Ivan Frolov" for the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring.
