The United Engine Corporation (UEC) is implementing a Russian standard for the development of digital twins of aircraft gas turbine engines. Its use will reduce the development time of power plants and their modifications.
The digital model virtually reproduces the operation of all engine systems and helps determine the effectiveness of design solutions. Currently, the "twin" is used to assess the impact of deviations arising during production on the operation of the power unit.
The digital twin technology is used at the Moscow-based Salyut enterprise in the creation of a modification of the AI-222-25 aircraft engine.
The national standard was developed with the participation of specialists from the Central Institute of Aviation Motor Engineering named after P. I. Baranov (Moscow).
