On Monday, January 13, AvtoVAZ and the enterprises within the joint-stock company resumed operations after the New Year holidays.
Component production and car assembly have started on all lines of all company plants.
The automaker used the "holiday" period to prepare the welding, painting, and assembly shops for the serial production of Lada Iskra, which is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2025.
AvtoVAZ has also started modernizing engine production lines to produce a new 1.8-liter unit for the Lada Niva family, as well as chassis and metallurgical production.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ stopped production of Lada Iskra due to a shortage of components for assembly.
