The "Alpha-E" drone was recognized as the best in the Up Great "Expedition" competition, organized by the ANO "Platform NTI". With the help of the competition, the organizers identified the best drones that can find significant objects on the ground and underground during major works: archaeological excavations, preparation of agricultural land and other activities.
During the tests, "Alpha-E" performed flights with a metal detector and ground penetrating radar, and discovered objects specially placed underground to a depth of 1 meter.
The drone accurately determined the coordinates of the objects and the materials they were made of, showing the highest result. Winning the "Expedition" competition opens up the possibility for "GC Quiet Wings" to develop a new promising direction - the use of unmanned aircraft for searching for objects underground.
Unmanned helicopter "Alpha-E"
"Alpha-E" is a development of "GC Quiet Wings" (part of the "Kalashnikov" concern). It is a compact unmanned aerial vehicle with an electric motor, capable of taking off from any solid surface, including moving objects.
"Alpha-E" can be easily assembled by one person in 15 minutes and transported disassembled in the trunk of a car. It is controlled from a mobile ground station at a distance of up to 120 km.
The UAV's flight altitude reaches 3000 m, while the "Alpha-E" can stay in the air for up to 1 hour 45 minutes. Its operating temperature range is from -30 to +45°С.
"Alpha-E" recently successfully participated in the first Russian experiment on air cargo transportation using drones in major Russian cities. It is currently being supplied under contract to GTLK.
