Geoscan, a leading Russian developer of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), has announced the relocation of part of its production to the Rudnevo Industrial Park in Moscow. This decision was made in connection with the company's victory in a state competition for the supply of educational drones and everything needed for their use. As part of the project, the company promises to invest in production and improve it.
Production will focus on the release of Geoscan Pioneer educational unmanned complexes, hardware and software systems for the Geoscan Arena competitions, and components.
Geoscan promises to spend more than 150 million rubles to repair and equip premises of about 5,000 m². The new production center plans to create up to 50,000 products per year. The launch is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
The training and production complex will be combined with the practical training center of Moscow colleges, located nearby. This will allow organizing practice-oriented training and ensure a smooth transition of students to work in production.
Since 2017, the company has been actively promoting the use of drones in education. Geoscan Pioneer complexes are already used in educational institutions throughout Russia to teach piloting, programming, and design skills. In total, the company has supplied more than 30,000 educational drones.
The main products of the line include:
- Geoscan Pioneer Mini — an entry-level quadcopter for indoor activities.
- Geoscan Pioneer Basic — a kit for creating and programming drones.
- Geoscan Pioneer FPV — a device for manual piloting, aerobatic flights, and drone racing.
- Geoscan Arena — a complex for competitions, equipped with Locus ultrasonic navigation and the ability to conduct autonomous flights.
The project also includes simulators for learning programming and piloting in a virtual environment and solutions for studying the basics of swarm intelligence and organizing drone shows indoors.
