The Prospective Aviation Complex for Long-Range Aviation (PAK DA) being developed in Russia will likely "never bomb anything." This is how the strategic bomber was criticized in the American magazine The National Interest (TNI).
The author of the material, Maya Carlin, noted that the internal weapons bay can accommodate a 30-ton payload, including hypersonic and nuclear missiles, and the flying wing design improves radar evasion.
But technological and financial constraints are capable of turning PAK DA into a non-functioning reality, rather than an ambitious project.
PAK DA is designed according to the "flying wing" scheme, it will be able to operate in drone mode, launch missile strikes on aerial objects, and control a group of UAVs. A key feature of PAK DA is the use of hypersonic and stealth technologies.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the reactors of the nuclear cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" will be launched before the end of 2024.
