Российские учёные разработали энергоустановку для гибридного авиационного двигателя

At Perm Polytechnic, a model of a small power plant capable of operating in the range of 45–60 kW has been created

At Perm National Research Polytechnic University, a compact gas turbine unit has been developed for use as a generator drive in an aircraft engine. It can be either a turbofan or a turboprop engine and operate according to a hybrid-electric scheme.

The idea of the project arose due to the increased interest in the development of "more electric" and "fully electric" aircraft engines.

Scientists have created a complex mathematical model of a compact power plant that can operate in the range of 45 to 60 kilowatts. It takes into account the laws of gas motion and allows to provide the necessary parameters of vibration and strength. This will help solve the problems of designing turboprop engines according to hybrid-electric schemes.

Currently, a preliminary design of the power plant and its structural- силовая scheme have been created using the model. Specialists are already engaged in the gas-dynamic design of the flow path of the blade machines. At the next stage, it is planned to solve the problems of ensuring stable joint operation of all elements of the system.

An analogue of the developed project can be considered a hybrid power plant created on the basis of the VK-650V engine of JSC "ODK-Klimov".

Earlier, Rostec expanded production for the production of aircraft engines. At the Perm enterprise ODK-STAR, the construction of new workshops has begun, where units for aircraft engines TV7-117ST-01, PS-90A, PD-8 and PD-14 will be created and tested..

In addition, the holding "Roselectronika" began supplying electronic components for aircraft communication equipment.
