AvtoVAZ presented a prototype of the electric Lada e-Aura. Mikhail Oseevsky, Chairman of the Board of Rostelecom, was the first to test drive the sedan.
Unlike the standard Lada Aura, the interior of the electric version of the sedan has a different design and color scheme. The rear of the seats is upholstered in red leather, and between them is a console with an armrest and touch panels.
The vehicle's digital environment control system is based on the Russian operating system "Aurora" ("Aurora-Auto"), Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported.
As a reminder, Lada e-Largus is the first electric vehicle developed in Russia using domestic components. The company plans to produce passenger and commercial station wagons with various battery options and load capacities.
AvtoVAZ reported that the new Lada e-Largus will receive more than 50% of domestically produced parts. The cars will be manufactured at the plant in Izhevsk.
Earlier, it became known when driverless Ladas will go on sale in Russia. The first such car will appear only in the 30s. This is because developers will have to fix some problems that may arise when using the navigation system in winter, and create an algorithm for actions in case of unforeseen situations on the road.
