Representatives of UAC signed a memorandum with Siberia Airlines (S7) on cooperation to expand the fleet. The official ceremony took place at the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant (a branch of Tupolev PJSC). This was reported by the press service of the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, who was present at the signing of the document.
The agreement concerns the supply of 100 improved TU-214 passenger aircraft for the needs of the air carrier. The document was signed by the head of UAC, Yuri Slyusar, and the shareholder of the S7 group of companies, Vladislav Filev.
The Tu-214 passenger aircraft (RA-64518) was assembled in 2009 at the Kazan Aviation Plant. In 2022, Ilyushin Finance Co. began restoring its airworthiness. In the winter of the same year, the aircraft received a new certificate.
The flight range of the Tu-214 is about 7 thousand km. The aircraft cabin is designed for 194 passengers. All aircraft equipment meets international standards.
