AvtoVAZ announced the launch of mass production of the updated LADA Vesta NG with new options, including four airbags, ESP, three-level heated front seats, and a heated windshield, ten days ago. Despite these improvements, the company has not yet announced prices for the new models. According to insiders, LADA Vesta has encountered a serious problem.
After the start of mass production of the updated cars, it turned out that the new software was not working correctly. When the battery terminal is removed, there is a risk of fire. According to unconfirmed reports, a fire has already been recorded.
In this regard, AvtoVAZ decided to temporarily store all new Vestas on the territory of the old track, and not send them to dealers. Until the causes of the malfunction are identified and eliminated. Cars coming off the assembly line will be placed in a settling tank.
With the addition of new options and the return of old ones, the number of LADA Vesta configurations has increased. On new models, you can find both new and old exterior mirrors, as well as options with and without power folding. The exterior door handles can be painted or unpainted. There is also an option with a large tablet in the cabin, but the instrument panel remained analog, and the mirrors do not fold automatically.
While the new cars are in the settling tank due to identified shortcomings, details about the configurations and their availability at dealers will be available later - when the cars begin to arrive to them after all the problems have been resolved.
