A new brand has appeared on the Russian electric vehicle market. The state corporation Rosatom has registered the name Voyt, according to journalist Maxim Kadakov.
Voyt is consonant with the word "Volt". Voyt is the last name of the designer Roman Voyt, who worked on the company's first electric prototype.
According to Kadakov, the state corporation is seriously involved in the electric theme. It already has a created drive for an electric vehicle, and plans to produce its own batteries.
Models of "electric cars" have already been presented. There are currently two of them: the first was shown in February. This is a family crossover. The second one was in March. It became an urban electric van based on a backbone composite frame.
Both models are just exploratory work that may not go any further at all, or may transform into something completely different.
It is not yet known whether the electric project that the state corporation is working on will be successful. One thing is clear, Rosatom seems to be serious.
