The "Radio-Electronic Technologies" Concern (KRET, part of Rostec Group) is modernizing the HIFU-therapy device "MedUza 008" by robotizing it. This was reported by the press service of Rostec Group.
The modernization will make it possible to perform operations with pinpoint accuracy. A new ergonomic complex has also been created for the device.
The device can be used to treat neoplasms of the mammary and thyroid glands, as well as varicose veins. Multiple use is possible without significant side effects, and there is no need for hospitalization.
The device is undergoing toxicological and technical tests. The first clinical applications of the "MedUza 008" device are scheduled for the beginning of 2025. Such equipment has not been previously produced in Russia.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that KRET received new CNC machines for parts of military and civilian aircraft.
