Chery cars will be produced in Kaluga. We are talking about Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 in restyled versions. This is reported by insiders.
The production volume is called different, from 20-30 thousand per year to 200 thousand per year.
It is planned that Chery will sign a Special Investment Contract with the Ministry of Industry and Trade in order to receive benefits from the state. In the meantime, the Chinese company has begun certifying Tiggo models.
As a reminder, the pre-styling Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is produced in Russia at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. This car rolls off the assembly line under the name XCITE X-Cross 7, but it is not in special demand: it is not selling much yet. Insiders note that the agreement between Chery and the St. Petersburg plant is valid until December 2025.
